The Green Gathering is one of the UK's best-loved eco festivals - an entirely off-grid, non-profit event powered by solar and wind energy. It is held at Piercefield Park, just outside Chepstow in Monmouthshire, within the Wye Valley National Landscape.
Intimate solar-powered stages host everything from folk and punk to reggae, hip hop, DJs, poetry and spoken word, alongside workshops, talks and skill-sharing on permaculture, renewable energy, crafts, wellbeing, social justice and climate action. Markets feature handmade crafts and ethical traders, and food stalls are fully vegetarian and vegan, with organic and locally sourced produce where possible.
It is strongly family-focused, with a dedicated kids' area and family camping, and puts real emphasis on inclusion - with BSL support, mobility assistance, sensory-friendly spaces, a Queer Space, a Women's Tent and the Healing Circle for rest and recuperation.
