Details:
Slam Dunk is the UK's biggest independent rock festival, serving up pop punk, emo, ska, metal and alternative music. It grew out of a Leeds club night that began in 2001, became a one-day festival in 2006 - headlined by an up-and-coming Fall Out Boy - and now runs as a two-leg event on consecutive days, with Slam Dunk North at Temple Newsam in Leeds and Slam Dunk South at Hatfield Park in Hertfordshire.
The full line-up plays both sites, so fans can pick the leg nearest to them. Over the years the festival has hosted Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, Enter Shikari, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, NOFX, The Offspring, Neck Deep and Alexisonfire, and its 20th-anniversary edition in 2026 was headlined by Good Charlotte and Knocked Loose, with Sublime, Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional.
Slam Dunk North 2027 takes place on Saturday 29 May. In recent years a Festival Village with food traders, a bar, merchandise and seating has opened ahead of the main arena.
