The Royal Norfolk Show is organised by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association. It was first held in 1847 and has run almost every year since. The show moved between sites around Norfolk until 1953, when it settled at the Norfolk Showground at Costessey on the edge of Norwich.
Visitors can expect a Grand Ring programme, a Show Farm, heavy horses, farriers, farm machinery, countryside and art areas, a Garden Village and a Discovery Zone for young children. More than 3,000 animals and over 700 trade stands take part, along with plenty of food and drink.
The show bills itself as the largest two-day agricultural show in the country and attracts around 90,000 visitors over its two days. Under-5s go free.
