The Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show traces its roots to 1767, when landowners met in Salford to form an agricultural society, making it one of the oldest agricultural shows in Britain. After moving between many venues over the years, including Stanley Park in Blackpool, it has been held at Salesbury Hall near Ribchester since 2017.
Visitors can expect animal exhibitions and prize classes across livestock and horses, demonstrations of farming equipment, and the traditional mix of rural attractions that has drawn tens of thousands of people over the three-day event.
For 2027 the show moves a week earlier than its usual early July slot because of Tour de France road closures in the area, running Friday to Sunday with gates open 9.30am to 5.30pm. Tickets are sold via the show's official website.
