The Great Yorkshire Show is organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and was first held in 1838 at Fulford near York. It has been held at its permanent showground in Harrogate since 1951, and the 2027 event will be the 168th show.
Visitors can expect around 8,500 animals, machinery and technology including the Agri-Innovation Village and a machinery demonstration ring, a Food Hall and a Cheese and Dairy Show, entertainment on the GYS stage, shopping, and a Family Area and Discovery Zone, with the Main Ring livestreamed daily.
The show runs from 8am to 6pm each day. It drew 150,000 visitors in 2026 and has sold out in advance every year since moving to advance-only ticket sales in 2021. Tickets go on sale in November 2026.
