Boardmasters 2027

Five days of music and surfing across Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach on the Cornish coast.

Boardmasters is a combined music and surf festival held annually near Newquay in Cornwall. It began in 1981 as a surfing competition and added live music in 2005, and now runs across two sites: the music and camping festival on the clifftops at Watergate Bay, and the surf, skate and beach programme at Fistral Beach in Newquay itself.

The festival site holds twelve stages ranging from local acoustic acts to international headliners, alongside a wellbeing area with a wood-fired eco-spa, the Wild Oyster restaurant and an extensive food offering.

The professional surf competitions remain central to the event, with international surf league fixtures returning in recent years. The 2026 edition drew around 158,000 attendees across five days for headline sets from Fatboy Slim, Lily Allen and Kasabian.
