The Balmoral Show is Northern Ireland's premier agricultural show, run by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society. It was first held in 1855 at the Belfast Corporation Markets. After RUAS members voted in 2012 to relocate, the show moved to Balmoral Park, the former Maze site near Lisburn, which was redeveloped as the Eikon Exhibition Centre. The 2027 show will be the 158th edition.
Visitors can expect livestock and equine competitions, show jumping and sheep shearing, plus the Downtown Stage, the Horticulture Hub, family fun areas, shopping, trade stands and plenty of places to eat. Competitions extend beyond the rings to activities such as Create a Critter.
The show runs over four days, and the 2026 edition drew tens of thousands of visitors. The official site says 2027 tickets will be sold online in 2027.
