Its that time of the year again and on Sunday the 13th September over a hundred and fifty of the finest artisan food and drink producers came together to celebrate all that this country has to offer. The 3rd Cheam Celebration of Food & Drink will be held within the grounds of Cheam Park between 10am – 7pm and it will be bigger and better than ever, it’s come a long way since launching in 2018. This year expected numbers are in excess of 17,000 and they will again eat, drink and dance with friend and family until the food is gone and the barrels are dry. We are known for being an inclusive family friendly welcoming event that delivers a delicious opportunity for people from all walks of life to explore and learn about food. 17,000+ people, 5 live bands & free childrens activities all day As usual we will have an array of wonderful stall holders offering a large variety of produce from specialty meats and artisan cheeses to handmade confectionary and mouth-watering brownies. This year some of the traders included, award winning Hot Pods Chilli Products, Iain’s Pigs rare breed pork, Marshmallow Heaven, Nip from the Hip, Jakes Artisan Foods, The Podgy Pie man, Bookham Harrison Farms, Mummy Makes Fudge, Marvolio’s Nostrums, Bitspicy Ltd, Project Doughnut, Casa das Bolitas, Busy Bees Honey Supplier and many more. In addition to the produce and craft stands there will be hand picked street food vendors from 25 countries, 10 bars quenching peoples thirst with gin & tonics, craft beers, cider, Pimm’s, wines and Prosecco. The Pairing Room will again be open where our resident wine expert will be giving advice on food & drink pairings. We must not forget the 10 contestants that will enter the chilli eating competition trying to prove they have what it takes to lift the CCFD Hot Head trophy. The event is now the largest free content festival in the region which makes it the perfect event for a family to spend their Sunday! 2020 free activities included; Chilli Eating Competition, 60m of bouncy castles, helter scelters & soft play, a rodeo bull challenge, 2 stages, 9 bands, American cars, jive dancing, a reptile experience, kids arts & crafts, festival glitter painting, a mini antiques roadshow, the shaded garden and much more.
