Building on the success of last years festival, this years line-up includes award winning artists from across the UK and wider afield, plus a selection of bands fast approaching the pinnacle of their career. With Fullhouse Frankie Millers Band, Wille & The Bandits and Sugaray Rayford headlining plus fifteen other very different, but striking bands stepping on stage, this will undoubtedly be another great festival and one live music event not to miss in the South West! The full line-up over the three days is as follows: FRIDAY Fullhouse Frankie Millers Band - Kyla Brox - Del Bromham’s Blues Devils - Jamie Williams And The Roots Collective - Deep Blue Sea - The Wang Dang Doodle Frankie Miller was born on 2nd November 1949 in the east end of Glasgow. Growing up with a passion for the rock n' roll music of Elvis, Ray Charles and Little Richard and for the way that their classic songs were crafted. The first thing that will hit you like a hammer is his unbelievable voice and stage presence; but could he write incredible songs? Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Cher, The Everly Brothers and Ray Charles are just some of the incredible musicians who have covered his songs. Now comes the exciting prospect of Frankie’s music being reinvigorated by some of the country’s finest musicians totally dedicated to the works of Frankie Miller; the band are Fullhouse. SATURDAY Wille & The Bandits – Stevie Nimmo Trio – RHR – The Ryk Mead Band – Glas (Wales) – Jimmy Regal And The Royals Essentially Wille and the Bandits is a classic blues rock three piece much in the vein of Cream or The Jimi Hendrix experience. But in a similar way to how these bands pushed the genre in their time, they try to take their sound beyond what is expected of such a traditional line up. The use of more bizarre instrumentation and eclectic influences in the song writing often pushes them more into a world music or progressive category. Having toured with artists such as Deep Purple through to the John Butler trio and played major festivals across Europe, the band seem to leave an equally astounding impression on audiences of all ages and musical backgrounds with their energetic and soulful performances. SUNDAY Sugaray Rayford (USA) – Nine Below Zero – Eliana Cargnelutti (Italy) – The Achievers – Lee Ainley’s Blues Storm – Mojo Preachers Sugaray Rayford began his musical career at the tender age of seven, singing and playing drums in church, and his gospel influences definitely shine through in his music. The soulful rasp and emotive vocal style hint at his first-hand experience with hardship, and a childhood marked by poverty and loss. “I remember a sad game I used to play with my brothers, a competition that determined who was skinniest by counting the number of belt holes left unused,” recalls Rayford. In the studio and in person, Sugaray Rayford is developing a reputation as a force to be reckoned with and an artist to watch in the coming years. On 9th May Sugaray won the Soul Blues Male Artist award at the 2019 Blues Music Awards in Memphis.
