The pretty North East coastal town of Stonehaven, Scotland, comes alive with a vibrant mix of traditional and contemporary “Folk†music and song. Concerts, Ceilidh, Sessions, Singarounds, Workshops and fun things to do. Come and join us as Stonehaven Folk Festival celebrates its 30th Festival. For the fun side of the weekend, on Saturday there is the Paper’n’Comb World championships. This celebrates and maintains the tradition of the once common and very popular instrument, the humble Paper’n’Comb. On the Sunday morning there is the Aqua Ceilidh in the Open Air Art Deco Pool, real ceilidh band, and real seawater. 2018 Guests include Scottish Folk Rock band Manran, Orkney Based band the Chair making a rare foray onto the Mainland, New young band Imar, Irish Guitar master John Doyle, Tim Edey & Like Daniels, Nae Plans and American singer songwriter Kristina Olsen .
