A free, family festival transforming Morecambe's seafront into a vintage themed extravaganza.

The free award winning Vintage by the Sea Festival returns to Morecambe on 1st and 2nd September 2018 to celebrate the brilliance of 20th century design, fashion, vehicles and entertainment. Experience live music, classic cars, street theatre, workshops, marketplace & crafts, heritage buses, vintage fairground and pop-up dance. In 2017, the beautiful art deco Midland Hotel played host to a Gatsby-inspired Torch Club Ball and elegantly authentic Afternoon Teas and theOfficial Vintage Party - 45 Live with Templebys and Boca 45 offered rockin’ funk, soul, hip hop, boogaloo, latin, breaks and beats in the Little Big Top. The Marketplace, curated by Dotty’s Vintage, returned to The Platform with the best authentic traders, hand-picked by the team and entertainment group Spiltmilk visited Morecambe’s care homes before and during the weekend, delivering workshops and creating performances along with the residents. And the festival audience can get involved too – dress in your best 20th century finery to enter the hotly contested ‘Best in Show’, judged during the weekend! Thousands of people are expected to visit Morecambe over the weekend so to plan your trip and enjoy a fantastic feast of fun, food, style and music!
